The malt whisky is distilled in France by our Master Distiller Christian Vergier with a high peat index of 35 PPM. Cortoisie aged in our Burgundy and Charentes wineries successively in American and French oak barrels to give them the right aromas and structure needed for your enjoyment.

Tasting Notes:
Visual :
Straw-colored with subtle golden glow.
Bright aspect, remarkably fat and rich appearance
Nose :
Powerful and seductive: subtle peaty nose accompanied by accents of fresh white fruits and spices. Aromas multiply with aeration, a cocktail of cereals, ripe fruits and hints of smoked meat. Fresh exotic fruits notes are gradually blended with the warmth and the complexity of peated Whisky. Extraordinarily intense, rich and charming.
Taste :
Suave structure, tender and delicately fragrant. Superb marriage of peppery, peaty and fruity notes. Aromas blend in harmony, a true example of balance.
Frank, complex and seductive aftertaste. Very long and clear persistence on sophisticated peaty notes with sensitive iodized accents.
Conclusion Taste Review: A perfectly coherent and seductive Whisky.
Brand Positioning: Courtesy is modern and positive value
Courtesy was invented in the court of France’s king established in the Loire Valley during the Renaissance. It came along with the development of humanism and savoir vivre. It’s an essential modern human value !
The finest manners were usually practiced, if not required, at the court of a king, queen or other noble person. Thus, the word “courtesy” developed as a reference to the polite ways of those who attended the “court” of a ruler. Cortoisie is courtesy in ancient French, he refers first to “nobility” and his way of life, then to “moral elegance”.
Today, the word has lost its historical reference and refers only to the common, everyday manners we expect everyone to practice.
